Girls High School Flag Football Takes the Field

Optimist Youth Football is proud to launch its inaugural High School Girls Flag Football League—a groundbreaking 7‑on‑7 program that mirrors changes being made at the collegiate athletic level.
This league is about more than competition. It’s about teamwork, confidence, and skills that empower young athletes to shine on and off the football field.

• Games played at Optimist Youth Sports Complex on Hill Road Parkway
• Open to girls ages 15–17
• Registration begins December 15, 2025
The Basics: High School Girls 5s Flag Football
Ages: Girls aged 15-17
Season: Spring 2026
Games: Girls High School Flag 7s games are played on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Teams may practice up to 3 times per week prior to the start of games, then once per week thereafter.
Teams: Boise and surrounding towns ( Formed by High School area )
Cost: $160.00/season; jersey and flags provided
