Girls High School Flag Football Takes the Field
Be part of history as Optimist Youth Football launches its inaugural High School Girls Flag Football League.
This innovative 5-on-5 program mirrors the sport that will make its debut in the 2028 Olympics, empowering young athletes with teamwork, skills, and confidence on the field. Join us this fall to learn the fundamentals of football, compete in a league built just for you, and help pave the way for the future of flag football right here in the Treasure Valley.

• Games at Optimist Youth Sports Complex on Hill Road Parkway
Ages: Girls aged 15-17
Season: Fall 2025 Season starts with Practices beginning August 4th
Games: Girls High School Flag 5s games are played on Saturday afternoons in the Fall beginning on Saturday, August 23rd. Teams may practice up to 3 times per week prior to the start of games, then once per week thereafter.
Teams: Boise and surrounding towns ( Formed by High School area )
Cost: $150/season; jersey and flags provided
