Optimist Youth Football is proud to continue its initiative that shines a spotlight on what truly makes the game great: character, leadership, and sportsmanship. Thanks to the generous support of Kendall Auto Group, we’ve created an ongoing recognition program that honors the heart of youth football—players and coaches who lead by example.

Jeff coaches the Centennial High School girls team, and has demonstrated a very positive attitude with his players, regardless of circumstances.
Each week, referees select one player and one coach who exemplify outstanding sportsmanship and leadership. These individuals are recognized for their positive attitude, teamwork, and ability to inspire others—on the field and beyond. Every Optimist team and club is eligible for recognition, and honorees are celebrated across our social media platforms.
This program goes beyond the game—it’s about recognizing future leaders. By honoring integrity, respect, and resilience, we highlight the life lessons youth football teaches every day.
